Food delivery startup HelloFresh, backed by Rocket Internet, has raised $85 million at a valuation of $2.9 billion. The company offers fresh meal delivery in seven different countries, and now delivers over 4 million meals per month. The investment was made by Baillie Gifford and Rocket Internet now owns 57.2% of the company, less than previously, following the funding round. HelloFresh’s investors include Insight Venture Partners, Phenomen Ventures and Vorwerk Direct Selling Ventures.
Breather, a provider of on demand private workspace, has raised $20 million in Series B financing. Valar Ventures led the round, with participation from RRE, Real Ventures, SOS Ventures and Slow Ventures. The company has now raised a total of $28.5 million. “We’re excited to have Valar involved,” said Breather CEO and co-founder Julien Smith. “We’re building a killer team and are moving quickly to build the biggest network of spaces for all who need it. Typeform, a Barcelona-based startup which is looking to change the form-filling experience, has raised $15 million in Series A funding, TechCrunch reports. Index Ventures led the round, with participation from previous backers Point Nine Capital, Connect Ventures and RTA Ventures and angel investors. The company was founded in 2012 and previously raised funds in 2013 and 2014.
Slovakia-based 3D camera startup Photoneo has raised $2.4 million in seed funding led by Credo. Photoneo has invented a new way of 3D object sensing, meaning the company can produce high quality 3D camera with rates up to 60 FPS. “Photoneo is a testament to the fact that Central Europe can indeed deliver revolutionizing technologies that change how industries operate on a global scale. This assumption is at the core of the investment thesis of our second fund, which is doubling down on its investment activity in Slovakia and across the entire Central European region” says Andrej Kiska, partner at Credo Ventures.
