The Red Herring Top 100 Europe event came to a close last week in Amsterdam, where 100 of the most promising startups walked away with an award.
The conference hosted a lively debate on the outlook for European entrepreneurs in 2016 and the years ahead. A number of top investors talked at the conference, giving attendees valuable insight into how to best attract the right type of investment. Both speakers and attendees agreed securing funding in Europe could be a major challenge, making it an even more crucial discussion for entrepreneurs.
When the conference was over the company presentations began, and the standard was as high as previous years. Companies came from all over Europe, from Russia to France to the U.K. to Germany.
The 100 winners stood out from an extremely tough set of competitors, making their awards even more hard-earned. They came from a multitude of different sectors, and will all be watched keenly as they make future strides in Europe, and beyond.
