Despite servers crashing from overwhelming demand Mozilla, the Mountain View company, is claiming is that the Firefox 3.0 browser has had the largest number of downloads ever recorded. In fact in the first 24 hours Mozilla claims the browser was downloaded over 8.3 million times.
One server indicated a download rate of 9,000 downloads per minute. Not all is dandy though as hours after the debut, DV Labs/Tipping point claim that there is a technical flaw within 3.0 which potentially lets a hacker take over a PC if a user clicks on a booby-trapped link.
