Samsung makes a smart move in an announcement for their new smartphone by pricing it $70 below the new generation of Apple's smash hit iPhone. The iPhone will retail for $199 for the 8GB version while the 16GB phone will run you $299 and the look-a-like Instinct will come in at $129, after returning the mail-in rebate program.
Both of the smartphones will be 3G ready and of course, have the touch-screen keypad capability. Samsung is betting that along with the bundled package of additional features and the competitive pricing that this will be enough to lure customers to go with the knock-off version rather than going with the real thing.
Sprint-Nextel will still charge the same monthly service fee as with the iPhone of $69.95 bringing the total for owning the Instinct, with a two year service contract to about $1,900
