Broadcom CEO Indicted in Drugs and Prostitution Scandal

Henry Nicholas the Broadcom CEO and co-founder is in a spot of bother. An 18-page document unsealed yesterday revealed that the billionaire allegedly supplied cocaine and methamphetamines. In addition to these charges he was also accused of slipping "E" into the drinks of unsuspecting tech execs. It seems the geeks have really gone wild, whether they wanted to or not! It was stated that in addition to his multiple properties, that he kept a warehouse in Laguna Niguel, behind the 'Orange Curtain' down in sunny SoCal, to store copius amounts of drugs and used series of bribes and threats to conceal his shenanigans.

As if this wasn't enough Henry T. Nicholas III is also accused of funding multiple drug parties in aircraft—hopefully the pilot resisted temptation and abstained—and private homes during the same time as the financial corporate book-cooking that was going on. Broadcom was forced to write down profits by a staggering $2.2 billion in January 2007 in the largest-ever accounting restatement related to the backdated options scandal.

The court also claimed that Nicholas was a very generous fellow, as he apparently hired prostitutes and escorts, not only for himself and his employees, but for his customers and guests too. If that wasn't enough he is also indicted for conspiring to acquire prescription Valium, probably to try and bring things down a notch.

The substances and allegations involved read more like a rap sheet from Keith Richards in the 1970's, or Hunter S. Thompson's exploits in 'Fear n' Loathing' not the diary of a hi-tech mega-mogul. The way things are unfolding for Nicholas right now, probably the only thing he needs to get his hands on, apart from a decent lawyer, are some aspirin tabs to try and clear up what must be a rather major headache.

In addition, the expression will henceforth have to change from 'party like a rockstar' to 'party like a tech exec.'

Bad craziness for sure. Whoever said that technology was dull and boring?
